a) Asalah Villa Second Branch Opening in Salalah July 24th, 2010
Layali Al Asalah has successfully opened its second branch in Salalah, under the patronage of HE Lamis Al Taie, member of Majlis Al Dawla. The opening was accompanied by a one week long exhibition where members of Asalah Villa Muscat also got an opportunity to participate in the festivities.Asalah Villa-Salalah is located in Saadah area, near University of Dhofar.
b) Asalah 6th Exhibition April 27-29, 2010
Layali Al Asalah organised its 6th consumer exhibition that was held at the Asalah Villa; under the patronage of Eng. Nashiah Al Kharusi , a Member of TRA. Several new and upcoming Omani designers and craftswomen participated in the three day exhibition.
The Highlight of the exhibition was, a boutique fashion show where the models wore the various outfits and accessories of the participating stores.
c) ‘I Read A Book 14th April 2010
‘I Read A Book’ is a new creative concept which is aimed at promoting reading a book amongst the young and old of our community.
A fashion show was organised at Qurum City Center where the theme of the show comprised of several aspects which include libraries, books and reading.
It was aimed at encouraging the community on reading books and the numerous benefits it has.
The show is also aimed at bringing to light the libraries available locally and its role in spreading knowledge amongst the community.
All the outfits are to be designed by amateur fashion designers, and current fashion students at the Higher College of Technology.
d) Asalah Bazaar February 1st -5th 2010
Layali Al Asalah organised for the first time an annual bazaar, where the Asalah Villa participants in addition other local outlets participated and displayed their end of year collection at greatly discounted prices.
The bazaar was a great success since the young entrepreneurs got a chance to start afresh the new year with a new collection.
e) When Authenticity Speaks 4
Layali Al Asalah Trading is inviting all amateur designers to register for the
Fashion Competition When Authenticity Speaks 4.
The theme of the competition for this year is Oman, Egypt, Spain.
We have open the doors to all interested parties the deadline for registration is APRIL 15, 2010.

The winners got a scholarship to Milan-Italy from 16th Jan to 13 Feb 2010, where the students gained a chance of education at the Milan Fashion Campus for four weeks, which also include visits to the fashion based factories, backstage of international fashion shows, and famous brands outlets.
The students also visited the museums in Milan and Rome, beside the sight-seeing and tours in Milan, Rome, Florence and Venice.
The purpose of this course is to prepare the student to a professional reality of the fashion world, not only developing the individual
creativity, but also to acquire the necessities of the Fashion Industry.
This course is particularly structured as real work experience, not only theoretical study.

They need young Professional creators, who are ready to work!”
g) Al Mara Womens Festival
In November 2009 Al Mara Magazine held its third annual Al Mara Womens festival,
which celebrates womanhood. The festival is an all women event. For the second
year running Layali Al Asalah organised a fashion show that highlighted the upcoming Omani designers.
h) When Authenticity Speaks 3
On the 22nd October 2009, Asalah announced its Wedding of Cultures which are Oman Zanzibar, Turkey. This year eleven contestants competed in the following categories (Jalabiya, Kids Clothes, Accessories, and Wedding Gowns). This year the international Saudi Fashion Designer Mrs. Amina Jassim was a member of the jury and also displayed her latest collection at the event. The Asalah team worked hard to provide the winners with scholarships, and the winners of “When Authenticity Speaks 3” are to receive a scholarship to study fashion designing at the University of Milan.
i) The Asalah Villa Opening: 9 March 2009
The concept of the Asalah Villa is to house eleven home owned businesses all owned by Omani Women under one roof. We realized the growing number of women that were working out the home for several reasons one main reason was lack of finances. Therefore, we decided to attain a large space where we can accommodate our administrative offices, workshop space and a permanent exhibition space from where these home owned business owners can market and sell their products.
j) Muscat Festival at Hiya Village the "Fashion Avenue" 22 Jan -12 Feb 2009
Was managed by Layali Al Asalah Trading; five stalls were given to us to give out to women Entrepreneurs that own retail stores. Owners of the stalls were rotated on a weekly basis giving opportunity to a larger number of participants. Fashion shows were held five times a week featuring products from participating stalls. Over the weekends various different competitions were held to entertain the visitors of the Fashion Avenue.
k) When Authenticity Speaks 2
Was held at the Shangrila's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa. The theme of the competition was the Republic of China, the Republic of Yemen and the Sultanate of Oman. The categories that the contestants competed on were Colored Abaya, Jewelry Shoes and Wedding Gown. Our past winners Lubna Al Zakwani, Khadija Al Lamki and Wafa Balaswad opened the event; each one displayed a beautiful array of their latest designs.
Layali Al Asalah is focused on providing educational opportunities for its contestants; therefore the prizes awarded are as follows:

l) Finjan Asalah 2 Ramadhan 2008
Was a one week exhibition that was held at the Oman Women Association. The exhibition targeted home owned businesses, and helped in giving them a platform from where they get to market themselves.
m) Al Maraa Fashion Show
A Fashion Show was organized by Layali Al Asalah in celebration of Al Maraa Women Festival. Our contestants were given the opportunity to highlight their talent at the fashion show.
n) Finjan Asalah
Finjan Asalah was an exhibition with a twist; it was held under the patronage of HH Sayyida Sana Al Busaidi. The venue was an elegant café that goes by the name of Kargeen Café. It was held from the 28th to the 31st of August 2007.
The main aim of Finjan Asalah was to highlight the artistic abilities of our multi faceted Omani artists; Layali Al Asalah were able to accomplish this by introducing four categories of art in to this exhibition which are Photographers, Artists, Jewelry Designers and Fashion Designers."
o) When Authenticity Speaks 1
We have conducted a fashion design contest for Omani girls based in the Sultanate of Oman on November 2006, before the incorporation of our company with a group of Omani Women that shared the dream of supporting the talented designers both academic and artistic field. Our sole goal is to pave a path for amateur designers and to provide with education they need to improve their career.
